The old saying is history rhymes. I hear history singing a familiar song as we enter into another pandemic wave. The Delta variant is spreading through the United States. The maps show the virus flowing from the south to the north.
I’m still in an area maps show is still relatively unaffected.
But I’m seeing a lot of people wearing masks. A lot of people I have observed have been masked up even though mask regulations have been relaxed. …
I was an Army brat, so I’m no stranger to the idea that someone might be watching. Who is watching is unknown. It could be the “bad guys” or maybe “the heroes.” I just remember seeing stickers on base telephones back in the 1970s warning someone could be listening to phone conversations. From my youngest days, I always knew there was “someone” out there with “bad intentions.”
These days, I hear “the warning” any time I call a business. My call “might be monitored.” The internet is the same way. We get free email and storage in exchange for trading…
I’m excited about cryptocurrency.
Despite the “crash.”
I see this as a great opportunity to buy and catch up. When prices were super high, my little dollar-cost averaging purchases didn’t make that much of a difference.
However, now that everything is on sale, it is time to keep adding to the crypto coin collection.
I’m excited about two coins.
Cardano is the next wave of cryptocurrency. It doesn’t require energy-intensive mining using lots of computer processing power to mine the coins. …
I’m a sucker for celebrity stories. I think part of me loves reading how the famous people are just like us — regular people with regular hopes and fears.
That’s why the story of Khloe Kardashian wanting to hide an unfiltered photograph of her poolside in a bikini was so interesting to me. I admit that I love filtering my pictures. I know that a certain cell phone flatters me more than another because of its “beauty” program. I also know I can run my selfie through an app to smooth out any imperfections and to accentuate my positives.
Don’t become complacent.
The fascists are taking over local politics and planning their national come-back.
They seek to make America like it was in the 20’s when the authoritarians took over state and local governments.
It’s up to you to go vote in every election.
Make sure you know what your local politicians are doing.
Even your school board members.
Remember, it is up to you to stop the rise of fascism and authoritarianism.
We were able to do it back in the 1920’s. We can stop them again in the 2020's.
